Villa Kogen

The architecture of the villa, as the main villa is called, together with its annex, add up to 6 bedrooms with en- suite bathrooms, it represents the perfect coexistence between nature, comfort and privacy, and is signed by the internationally awarded Brazilian architect Marcio Kogan and I his study MK27.

The landscaping is designed by Isabel Duprat, another “guru” of marked world fame, and integrates the house in 15,000 m2 of wild nature in such a way that, rather than being built, it seems that it has sprung up naturally in the landscape. It consists of hand-carved Ibizan stone paths and is crowned by two swimming pools, one of them 37 meters long, and the other heated for recreation.

Entering the villa, one discovers an interior full of original works of art, such as tables by Jader Almeida, Ayush Kasliwal and Rodolfo Dordoni, chairs by Hans Wegner and Paola Navone, lamps by Clara von Zweigbergk and Greta Grossman, sofas by Piero Lissoni, Gervasoni beds, Bulthaup kitchens, Gaggenau appliances, and a Bang & Olufsen audio-visual system and Apple TV in all living rooms and bedrooms.

The finishes combine the forcefulness of monolithic marble weighing up to 200 kilos with the delicacy of Vola faucets finished in bronze, as well as the robustness of solid teak and Ibizan stone floors in the exteriors with the majesty of solid oak in the interior furniture, highlighting the cabinets also made of solid oak with internal LED lighting. All windows and doors are Panoramah pocket windows. Including an impressive 13m living room window that silently opens at the touch of a bouton.

But this is not all. Comfort and well-being without neglecting sustainability and energy efficiency is the maxim to follow in any Caledonian development. For this reason, the villa emits zero CO2 particles into the atmosphere thanks to air conditioning using a geothermal system with a cold ceiling and underfloor heating without drafts or noise, and 80 cm walls with total thermal and acoustic insulation. There is also a wood-burning fireplace for cold winter days. In addition, there are 30,000 watts of photovoltaic panels and a rainwater harvesting system and treatment by osmosis, filtering and ultraviolet light that ensure high purity water with 0% lime. That is, the house is self-sufficient.

A unique sustainability that could not be conceived without using highly advanced technology, crowned with Lutron home automation for all rooms in the house, which controls, among other things, lights, floor sockets, air conditioning and ventilation in the house. The avant-garde is present in the villa, it is enough to bring your hand closer to a door for it to open its lock without the need for handles.

But all this luxury, all this technology, this perfection shouldn’t be able to be tampered with by a security breach. For this reason, the house has an alarm system equipped with thermal and optical cameras monitored by intelligent video analytics control. Of course, the house also has detectors and cameras in each window opening and biometric fingerprint locks.

Finally, the possibility of accommodation in the annex has been provided for domestic service, baby sitters, staff..., so that they provide the attention of a five-star hotel, with impeccably ironed cotton sheets and linen, bathrobes imported from Belgium, and crockery and glassware to match the circumstances.
